Bhutan has been a beautifull place to come 2. 

I really love my big sister and I'm so happy that I didn't have to miss her for more than a year...

It has been a little heavy... beiing pregnant and constantely sick, but now its time to go home...

Ahimsha's Quest is a project that starts on januari 2008...

Starting from a volontueer job in Thiruvananthapuram, India I learned about the suffering of animals (see pictures)

Althow for many people it seems weird to go to India to help animals in stead of humans but can we really wait untill all humans are helped untill we start with our earth and animals?

 

Well... I didn't think so...

 

Coming back to Belgium I started doiing animal rights work (www.stopdierproeven.org) and I started growing this project in my head.

 

Having my degree as a social worker I really wanted to do something for India's people as well. Since rabies is a big problem in India (every 30 seconds someone dies of it) what they need is propper education. The children are on the streets whenever they don't need to go to school and back in Belgium there a bunch of enthousiastic people ready to go for it.

 

What is the result of all this brainstorming?

 

 

An animation program to get kids off the streets and learn them the basics about caring for animals and how to avoid rabies infections trough animation and games

 

An assistance project for Avis Lyons (founder of Animal Rescue Kerala: http://www.animalrescuekerala.org/) to help her with her education project
